Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Bhawan :

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Bhawan, Dhemaji was introduced by Govt. of India for welfare of the down trodden people that serves the purpose of hostel buildings for students of weaker section as well as socio-cultural center for celebration of various festivals and ceremonies of the locality.

Objective:

To  facilitate meetings of SC people in one common place for socio-cultural activities.

Utility:

  • Holding of meetings, seminars & conferences etc.
  • Holding of community based cultural and educational functions.
  • Marriage ceremonies.
  • Awareness camps.
  • A portion of the ground floor shall be occupied by the O/o the SDWO, if necessary.

Developmental activities under various schemes:

Scheduled Tribes:

  1. Distribution of 2 Nos of HP Flour Mill Pulverizer under Grant-in-aid for ST for the FY 2020-21.
  2. Distribution of 3 Nos of Domestic Hygiene kit under Grant-in-aid for ST for the FY 2020-21.
  3. Distribution of 35 Nos of Multi Operated Farm Power Tool under Grant-in-aid for ST for the FY 2022-23.
  4. Distribution of 12 sets of Mini Rice Mill with Grader and Blower under Grant-in-aid for ST for the FY 2022-23.
  5. Scheduled castes:

  6. Distribution of 240 Nos “Household Essential Kits” to SC community for the FY 2023-24.
  7. Distribution of 395 Nos “Educational and Sports Essential Kits” under One Time Special Grant for development of SC community for the FY 2023-24.
  8. Distribution of 50 Nos  “Television with Accessories sets” under One Time Special Grant for development of SC community for the FY 2023-24.

                Distribution of various inputs/items under Special One-Time Grant(SOPD)  by Assam Minorities Development Board(AMDB) for the FY 2023-24 such as Sewing Machines, E-Ricksaw, Automatic paper plate making machine, Fashion design machines etc.

 

Scholarship Schemes:

Pre-Matric  Scholarship to ST Students:

It is a centrally sponsored scheme implemented by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to grant scholarship to eligible ST student for pursuing education in class IX & X.

The objective of this scheme is to support ST students studying in classIX & X so that the incidence of drop, out specially in transition from elementary to secondary stage is minimized, and ST students can have a better chance of progressing to the Post-Matric stage of education.

Post-Matric scholarship to ST Student:

 

It is a centrally sponsored scheme implemented by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to grant scholarship to eligible ST student for pursuing higher education starting from XI to Post-Graduation courses in India.

The objective of the scheme is to enable eligible ST students to undertake quality education from Post-Matric to Post-Graduation level by providing them financial assistance. It also creates an error free platform ensuring that the targeted beneficiaries received scholarship on time.

It is a centrally sponsored scheme implemented by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment to grant scholarship to eligible SC/OBC student for pursuing education in class IX & X.

The objective of this scheme is to support SC/OBC students studying in class IX & X so that the incidence of drop, out specially in transition from elementary to secondary stage is minimized, and ST students can have a better chance of progressing to the Post-Matric stage of education.

The objective of the scheme is to enable eligible SC/OBC students to undertake quality education from Post-Matric to Post-Graduation level by providing them financial assistance. It also creates an error free platform ensuring that the targeted beneficiaries received scholarship on time.

WHO CAN APPLY:

 

  1. The students should belong to the eligible category of ST/OBC and SC.
  2. The family income of the students from all sources should not exceed Rs.2.5L per annum.
  3. The Students should have a valid bank account linked with Aadhar and mobile number.
  4. The students should not be getting any other scholarship.
  5. The students must be studying in an institute having valid DISE/AISHE code.
  6. The student should have their individual Caste Certificate and Income Certificate of their Parents issued from the Competent Authority to apply for scholarship.
  7. The bank account of the students should be Aadhar seeded.
