To translate the Government’s developmental policy into a proper implementation framework and ensuring its aim at achieving a stable growth rate. To promote Public Private initiative in infrastructure and various related sectors

Function of the Division :
            Decentralized Planning was introduced in Assam in all the Plain Districts in 1986 at the Sub Divisional level, which was upgraded to district Level in 2004-05. Accordingly, the District Planning and Monitoring Committee has been constituted at the district level with a view to prepare and finalize the annual operational plan within the District excluding 6th schedule areas of the state. 

At the Decentralized Planning Branch, we implement various Govt schemes which are envisaged for the development of communities of the district across spectrum through schemes like MLALAD, MPLADS, Untied Fund, Assam Darshan, Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana etc. We also oversee the execution of various CSS viz Aspirational Block Program of NITI Aayog, under which MSTD Block of Jona has been selected as an Aspirational Block and other various govt initiatives like One Time Grants etc.
